Start with a can of chickpeas (also known as garbanzo beans). You'll be adding a bit of roasted red peppers (the jarred kind), crumbled feta (I use reduced-fat) and chopped fresh basil. The marinade is a mix of olive oil, red wine vinegar, honey, garlic and a few dried spices. Combine it all, and that's it!

The ingredients needed to make Marinated Chikuwa:
- Get 1 bag Chikuwa
- Take 1/2 Onion
- Take 40 grams Carrot

- Take 2 tbsp ●Olive oil

To marinate chicken, you'll need to make a marinade using oil, vinegar or another acidic ingredient, and plenty of seasonings; then, combine the marinade with the chicken for four hours to overnight (keeping it chilled) before cooking it. Cut Chikuwa diagonally into bite-size pieces.
Steps to make Marinated Chikuwa:
- Cut the onion into thin slices, and soak in water. Cut the cucumber and carrot into thin strips, and sprinkle with a small amount of salt (not listed).
- Cut the chikuwa diagonally.
- Mix ● ingredients in a bowl to make marinade. Mix the sugar, salt, and vinegar first, and when dissolved, mix with the olive oil.
- Squeeze the excess water out from the onion, cucumber, and the carrot. Add to Step 3 bowl with the chikuwa, toss together, then it's done.
- Letting it sit for a little allows the flavor to absorb and makes it more delicious.
To marinate chicken, you'll need to make a marinade using oil, vinegar or another acidic ingredient, and plenty of seasonings; then, combine the marinade with the chicken for four hours to overnight (keeping it chilled) before cooking it. Cut Chikuwa diagonally into bite-size pieces. Heat Oil in a frying pan, stir-fry Chikura over medium heat until slightly browned, and it won't take long. Then, add Sugar and Soy sauce, and stir-fry until sauce is gone and slightly caramelised. Sprinkle with some Aonori (Dried Green Laver Flakes) and Toasted Sesame Seeds.

Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA are two things that actually help the grey matter in your brain function a lot better. It’s true: consuming a tuna fish sandwich can seriously elevate your mood.
Grains can be great for driving away a terrible mood. Quinoa, millet, teff and barley are all actually great for helping raise your happiness levels. They help you feel full too which can really help to improve your mood. Feeling hungry can actually bring you down! The reason these grains are so good for your mood is that they are not difficult for your stomach to digest. You digest these foods quicker than other things which can help increase your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel more pleasant, mood wise.
Green tea is wonderful for moods. You knew green tea had to be in this article somewhere, right? Green tea is loaded with a particular amino acid called L-theanine. Research has discovered that this amino acid promotes the production of brain waves. This helps sharpen your mental energy while simultaneously calming your body. You were already aware that that green tea helps you feel better. Now you know that green tea helps you to raise your moods as well!
