The ingredients needed to make AMIEs CHOP SUEY:
  1. Get 2 pcs. carrots, sliced
  2. Prepare 300 grams celery
  3. Get 1/2 head of cabbage
  4. Get 1/2 kg cauliflower

  6. Make ready 1 cup chicken stock
  7. Make ready 2 tbsps. cornstatch

I brown the ground beef with the onions and celery and add red bell pepper slices and fresh sliced mushrooms (or canned if that's all I have), drain then stir in a splash of sherry. Heat shortening in a large, deep skillet. Add celery, hot water, salt and pepper. Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil over high heat.

  4. Add the rest of the vegetables. Cook til vegetables are almost done. DO NOT OVERCOOKED!
  5. Disperse cornstarch in 1/2 cup water and add to mixture. Finish with ajinomoto (if desired). Serve hot!

Drain the macaroni and add to the chop suey.
