  2. Get 300 grams Minced pork

  6. Get 1/2 tsp Salt
  7. Take As needed Flour

Cover with another lotus root slice to make a sandwich. Repeat with remaining lotus root slices and filling. Heat up enough oil to semi deep fry the lotus root patties over medium heat. On a slice of lotus root, place a teaspoon of the filling and spread.

Instructions to make Fried Lotus Root with Filling:
  1. Cut the Lotus root into 24 slices (5mm thick). Soak the slices in water for 10 minuets and dry them with a paper towel.
  2. Chop the Leek(Onion) and Ginger. Combine the Leeks, Minced Pork, Ginger, Sake and Salt and mix it well. Divide into 12 portions.
  3. Take a pair of Lotus root pieces and sprinkle flour on one side of each. Place a portion of filling on one piece and press the other on top., making sure that the floured side touch the filling. (Push firmly so that filling enters into the holes of the lotus root.)
  4. Coat each set with Potato Starch off the excess potato starch and fry till brown in oil heated 280 degrees. (Deep fry)
  5. If you like, squeeze lemon and eat.

Heat up enough oil to semi deep fry the lotus root patties over medium heat. On a slice of lotus root, place a teaspoon of the filling and spread. Put another slice of lotus root on top and press down to make a sandwich. In a large non-stick frying pan, heat ¼ inch of oil on medium-high heat. Dredge the lotus root in the corn starch and remove excess.
