Serotonin is the “feel good” chemical substance that dictates to your brain how you feel at all times. The more of this chemical in your brain, the better you’ll feel. Nuts, on top of improving your mood, can be a superb protein source.
If you would like to battle depression, you should eat some cold water fish. Salmon, herring, tuna fish, mackerel, trout, etcetera, they’re all chock-full of omega-3 fatty acids and DHA. These are two things that raise the quality and the function of your brain’s gray matter. It’s the truth: consuming tuna fish sandwiches can actually help you fight your depression.
Some grains are actually excellent for driving away bad moods. Teff, barley, millet, quinoa, etc are all good for helping you feel better.
