- Prepare 500 gm lotus roots washed, peeled and cut into thick rounds

- Prepare all ingredients. Wash, peel and cut the lotus roots into thick circular slices. Cut the potatoes in wedges. Fry both in oil till cooked and crispy.
- In a wok, het oil and add cumin, let splutter. Then add ginger garlic and onions and saute till soft. Add the tomatoes and spices next and cook/ bhoonofy it until tomatoes are soft and it all comes together.
- Add water if needed and let further cook until oil separates. Add your fried lotus and potatoes and serve with roti or rice.

It’s not difficult to overcome your bad mood when you are eating grains. Quinoa, millet, teff and barley are all actually excellent for helping boost your happiness levels. These grains can help you feel full for longer as well, which can help your mood too. It’s easy to feel depressed when you feel hungry!
