  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. brown ground beef with finely diced onion
  3. drain grease, add taco seasoning according to package directions.
  4. then add drained cans of corn, beans, tomatoes and salsa
  5. while heating that, make corn muffin mix to packaged directions.
  6. put meat mixture in 9x11 pan.
  7. spread corn muffin mix on top
  8. bake for about 15 minutes until brown on edges and toothpick comes out clean.
  9. serve with fresh chopped tomatoes, sour cream, lettuce, any toppings of your choice

It will have a very soupy consistency. Sprinkle w/ cheddar cheese and bake a few more minutes until melted. Tamale is a Mexican dish of seasoned meat wrapped in cornmeal dough and then steamed or baked in corn husks.
