- Wash the rice and both the daals well and soak them in enough water to cover them for at least 30-minutes
- Hear ghee in the pressure cooker and add cloves, chopped garlic and red chilli powder saute for two minutes on medium flame
- Drain all the water from the rice and lentils and add them to the cooker. Add haldi powder, redchilli powder, salt and water to the cooker and pressure cook for 5-6 whistles.
- Once all the pressure has released, open the pressure cooker and mix well.
- After mixing the rice and dal
- Serve hot with ghee and Guava sabji.
- Guava Sabji:Heat oil in a kadai and add hing and cumin seeds.
- When a nice aroma is given out, add Guava pieces and stir
- Add green chilli, red chilli powder, salt and sugar and mix well add water, cover and cook on low flame 5-6 minutes
- Guava pieces become soft
- Sabji is ready. Serve hot.
